David, CDT/ Owner
David is the owner of Mid-South Dental Lab. He is a third-generation dental technician that grew up in a removable lab. After graduating from Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville with a diploma in Dental Ceramics and becoming a CDT, he opened his lab in 2012.
David takes pride in being innovative in the dental lab industry and embracing the digital advances. He loves creating new smiles and transforming lives with the art of dentistry.
Chelsey, RDH/ Co-Owner
Chelsey began working part-time at the lab in 2012 while attending dental hygiene school. After graduating, she spent six years practicing as a hygienist in general dentistry, all while continuing her part-time role at the lab. In 2020, she officially transitioned to full-time at the lab, leaving clinical practice behind.Chelsey now oversees a broad range of responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable, human resources, payroll, and surgery scheduling. Her attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to the lab’s day-to-day operations.Outside of work, Chelsey and her husband David are the proud parents of two young children—Ledger, born in September 2022, and Atlas, born in May 2024.
Shawn, Removable Manager
Shawn started with Mid-South Dental Lab in June of 2021 after moving to Tennessee from California.
Shawn graduated from The City College of San Francisco in Dental Laboratory Technology in 1994. With his 29 years of experience, he manages the removeable department and treatment plans complex cases with doctors. He enjoys being outside on his farm in Shelbyville.
Kevin, Fixed Department Manager
Kevin joined MSDL in June of 2023 as the Fixed Department Manager. He holds an associate degree in applied science-Dental Technology and brings over 32 years of lab experience and post graduate training to our team. Growing up in a family filled with dentists, dental hygienists and dental technicians, Kevin brings a passion for this industry as well as a very diversified industry background. He and his wife relocated from central Illinois and are proud parents of three and grandparents to four. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, country music and learning about middle Tennessee.
Samantha, CAD/CAM Manager
Sam started at Mid-South Dental Lab part time in 2020 while completing the Dental Technician Program at Tennessee Technology Center in Nashville. She completed her schooling at the top of her class and finished with a 4.0 GPA. She manages all digital workflows, including milling and printing for the lab. Sam enjoys expressing her creativity with design at work and at home with cross-stitch and crochet.
Dallas, Implant Department Manager
Dallas started her career as a dental technician in 2012 fabricating orthodontic appliances in Alabama. In 2018 she moved to Washington where she was trained in crown and bridge, and very quickly gained an interest in implants. Dallas joined the Mid-South team in 2021. She provides a wealth of knowledge related to all things implants. She enjoys case planning, leading her team, implant purchasing, surgical planning, and providing excellent customer service. In her free time, Dallas enjoys fishing, kayaking, and woodworking with her two dogs, Crixus and Rue and her sweet nephew, Ryan.
Dave, Sales/ Full Arch Specialist
Dave moved from Texas to Middle Tennessee in 1999 and finished school at MTSU. He met his wife after graduation and they decided to make Nashville their home. Dave performs Intra-Oral and Photogrammetry scans for All-On-X cases, and also develops relationships with practices to win new business for the lab. He has almost two decades of sales experience. Dave spends all his extra time with his wife and 3 kids and is involved in a variety of activities outside of work.
Delta, Lab Mascot
Delta was adopted as a puppy from Wags and Walks by David and Chelsey, and she’s been stealing hearts ever since. Now the beloved mascot of their dental lab, Delta brings energy, charm, and just a touch of chaos to the workday. Known for her habit of barking at everyone who walks in, she’s all bark and all love—especially when it comes to hugs. With her wagging tail and world-class cuddles, Delta keeps the whole team smiling.
