David, CDT/ Owner
David is the owner of Mid-South Dental Lab. He is a third-generation dental technician that grew up in a removable lab. After graduating from Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville with a diploma in Dental Ceramics and becoming a CDT, he opened his lab in 2012.
David takes pride in being innovative in the dental lab industry and embracing the digital advances. He loves creating new smiles and transforming lives with the art of dentistry.
Chelsey, RDH/ Co-Owner
Chelsey started working at the lab part-time while attending dental hygiene school in 2012. After graduating and practicing as a hygienist in general dentistry for 6 years, along with working part-time at the lab, she hung up her scaler and became full time at the lab in 2020.
Chelsey manages all accounts payables and receivables, human resources, payroll and surgery scheduling for the lab.
She and David are proud parents to their little boy, Ledger, who was born in September of 2022. They are also parents of the lab mascot, Giselle.
Jeff, Operations Manager
Jeff originally started with the lab in August of 2016, left in December 2017, then returned in January 2019. Jeff joined the U.S. Air Force in April of 1990 where he became a Dental Assistant. He worked at this job for 7 years and then retrained in 1997 to be a Dental Laboratory Technician. Jeff retired from the Air Force in 2014 and moved back to Tennessee with his wife Carrie, who also works at Mid-South Dental Lab. Jeff manages the operations side of the lab, overseeing the cad, fixed and removable departments. He researches and develops training and safety programs for the lab. He is also the primary surgery planning technician and consults with doctors daily on all aspects of the lab. Jeff has two daughters Kayla and Emily and a stepson Zach.
Shawn, Removable Manager
Shawn started with Mid-South Dental Lab in June of 2021 after moving to Tennessee from California.
Shawn graduated from The City College of San Francisco in Dental Laboratory Technology in 1994. With his 29 years of experience, he manages the removeable department and treatment plans complex cases with doctors. He enjoys being outside on his farm in Shelbyville.
Kevin, Fixed Department Manager
Kevin joined MSDL in June of 2023 as the Fixed Department Manager. He holds an associate degree in applied science-Dental Technology and brings over 32 years of lab experience and post graduate training to our team. Growing up in a family filled with dentists, dental hygienists and dental technicians, Kevin brings a passion for this industry as well as a very diversified industry background. He and his wife relocated from central Illinois and are proud parents of three and grandparents to four. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, country music and learning about middle Tennessee.
Samantha, CAD/CAM Manager
Sam started at Mid-South Dental Lab part time in 2020 while completing the Dental Technician Program at Tennessee Technology Center in Nashville. She completed her schooling at the top of her class and finished with a 4.0 GPA. She manages all digital workflows, including milling and printing for the lab. Sam enjoys expressing her creativity with design at work and at home with cross-stitch and crochet.
Becky, Fixed Production Manager
Becky is the face your patients will see when they stop by for a custom shade match.
Becky got her start in dentistry 20 years ago as a dental assistant. She has spent time working for general dentists and in orthodontics. During her time working with Orthodontists, she started making appliances. This is what started her passion for lab and technical work.
Becky joined Mid-South Dental Lab in 2017. Becky is a mom to Garrett and her fur baby Sarah Bell.
Giselle, Lab Mascot
Giselle has been prancing around the lab since the very beginning in 2012. Giselle is responsible for eating all the treats the team, UPS, FedEx, and USPS bring her. David and Chelsey adopted her in 2008.
